Brand Story

Manō Wear is a female owned small business on the island of Hawaii. The idea of Manō Wear was born in the lineup at Honolii, Hilo, by Linnea.

Once again she had to pass on a glassy beautiful wave just so that she could adjust her bikini.  She knew what she wanted out of a swimsuit, but just couldn’t find it.

  “I wanted it to be cute and flattering to the female body but still stay on in the surf and be comfortable.” 

A passion for nature, surfing, and fitness is driving the pursuit of making beautiful and feminine clothing durable for an active lifestyle.

“My interest in fashion come from my grandmother Gulli.  She spent her life in a rural part of Sweden, and  always dressed up like she were going somewhere fancy and I loved that about her.”

It started with designing swimsuits but quickly evolved into adding active wear as well, with the same vision of feminine but functional designs in butter soft and sustainable fabrics.  Almost all Manō Wear active wear is quick dry, so it’s perfect for paddling and ocean sports. 

Manō Wear was created in October 2021 for the elegant yet fierce women.  

 “It is my wish that you feel beautiful and comfortable in Manō Wear swim and gym wear.”
